SHAKES:Wir // I Speak of Me As I Am
2025
SHAKES:WIR / I Speak of Me As I Am – A Necessary In(ter)vention is a theatrical project that reimagines Shakespeare through decolonial, multilingual performance.
Created for Ballhaus Prinzenallee and Reichshof Bayreuth, Noah Osarenren designed both the physical and digital worlds of the piece. Drawing from West African, Persian, and Romani storytelling traditions, the work transforms the stage into a resonant space of memory, resistance, and rebirth — where fragmented histories, poetry, and politics collide to reclaim voice and life beyond the colonial archive.

Widerspruch - Die Verlobung in St. Domingo von Necati Öziri
2024
On the last night of the Haitian Revolution, the island is ablaze: the formerly enslaved have liberated themselves, and amid ruins and renewal, four characters confront one another — each shaped by their own experience of violence and resistance.
Based on a text by Nacati Öziri — written in response to Kleist’s 1811 story.
Noah Osarenren created the video and stage design as well as the poster design for Sarah Elisabeth Braun’s production of Widerspruch at HfS Ernst Busch Berlin.
