SHAKES:WIR / I Speak of Me As I Am – A Necessary In(ter)vention is a theatrical project that reimagines Shakespeare through decolonial, multilingual performance.

Created for Ballhaus Prinzenallee and Reichshof Bayreuth, Noah Osarenren designed both the physical and digital worlds of the piece. Drawing from West African, Persian, and Romani storytelling traditions, the work transforms the stage into a resonant space of memory, resistance, and rebirth — where fragmented histories, poetry, and politics collide to reclaim voice and life beyond the colonial archive.

Noah Osarenren served as set designer, 3D world‑builder, and showrunner for SHAKES:WIR, creating the physical stage environment, crafting immersive digital spaces and animations, and coordinating the overall flow of the performance.
